Construction Audit Building A Solid Foundation
Building on years of experience, Denise has released a new book that updates the original book and enhances it with new experiences and also takes a more holistic approach of the construction process. This book will guide readers through the whole construction cycle starting with the executive decision process, selection of key vendors, assessing risk, using earned value management in project reporting and much more!
Construction Audit is becoming more and more prevalant, and organizations are appreciating its importance. Learning the basics of construction auditing can provide valuable knowledge and skills for professionals and students in the construction industry, offering insights into financial management, risk mitigation, compliance, and overall project oversight.
This book is not just for auditors, however. It is essential reading for project managers, integrity monitors, construction managers and anyone else who wants to understand the elements that go into creating a successful project. Legal teams involved in contracting and over-payment recovery will also benefit.

Construction Audit Guide: Overview, Monitoring and Auditing
This guide was written for the Institute of Internal Auditors back in 2005.
Whether building a new office, improving real estate portfolios, or refurbishing and modernizing existing property, construction projects can present significant risks for an organization. Construction projects offer fertile ground for fraud and mismanagement. Auditors are best qualified and placed in the organization to assist in establishing construction controls and in appraising progress to mitigate project risks.
Ongoing audits can provide senior executives with relevant and timely governance issues as they occur. This handbook provides a framework to make sure you address the risks for your projects. It includes the ABC’s of a successful construction project, coverage of construction basics, understanding the world of contractors, and when and how to audit the project. Though it is out of stock, once in a while a copy is sold on Amazon at the below link:
