Bridging the Gap Begins Its Journey to Print

There are moments in an author’s life when the horizon glows a little brighter, when months of writing, revising, doubting, and dreaming finally gather themselves into a single moment of forward motion. Today is one of those moments, and my heart is humming.
I am thrilled to share that my manuscript, Bridging the Gap: Strengthening the Bond Between Audit Committee and Internal Audit, has officially entered the production phase. It has left my desk and stepped into the skilled hands of the production team, where copyeditors and layout designers will shape it into the book it is meant to be.
But before the presses warm up, let me tell you what Bridging the Gap truly is.
This book is a guide, a compass, and in many ways a conversation between two forces that are essential to strong governance. Audit committees and internal auditors are meant to work in harmony; yet too often they operate in parallel rather than in partnership. Bridging the Gap explores why that disconnect exists and, more importantly, how to repair it so the organization can thrive.
Readers will learn how to build trust that endures scrutiny; how to communicate with candor, clarity, and courage; how to elevate risk discussions from dry reports to meaningful dialogue; and how to create a relationship where oversight becomes insight. The book weaves together real-world scenarios, practical tools, and the lived experiences of professionals across industries, all with the goal of strengthening one of the most critical relationships in modern governance.
Why is this important?
Because in a world humming with complexity, disruption, and rising expectations, no organization can afford a fractured relationship between its overseers and its truth-tellers. When audit committees and internal audit work together with alignment, accountability becomes a lighthouse instead of a spotlight, risk becomes navigable, and the entire enterprise becomes stronger.
